Riverview has a variety of ways of recognizing our wonderful students! See the list below for awards and requirements.
Spirit of Riverview
The Spirit of Riverview Award is given to 8th grade students that have shown school pride and respect throughout their years at Riverview. These students excel in multiple arenas including: academics, athletics, music, sportsmanship, and service to school and others.
Gold Cords
Gold cords are awarded to 8th graders who have achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA. Students will receive a gold cord for each trimester they accomplish this distinction.
Attendance
Every trimester, our students with perfect attendance are honored with an assembly and a certificate. Parents are invited to attend this event.
Academic
Every trimester, middle school students are recognized for their academic achievements. They receive a certificate and pin at an assembly. Our parents are invited to attend.
Reading
Every trimester, students are recognized for reaching their Accelerated Reader goal. They are awarded a certificate and pin at an assembly. Our parents are invited to attend.
Student of the Month
Every month, every teacher selects a student who has shown responsibility, respectfulness, and safety. Students are invited to a pizza lunch with the principal. These students are recognized at our trimester awards assembly. Our parents are invited to attend.
Caught Spreading Good Vibes
Students who exhibit the characteristics we have been teaching in our social emotional lessons receive a green ticket. These tickets go into a weekly drawing for an award. Students names are announced on Fridays.
Beaver Bucks
Students that show they are being respectful, responsible, and safe have the opportunity to receive a Beaver Buck. Students redeem their Beaver Bucks for prizes at the student store twice a month.
